New York Car Insurance Requirements
The laws of the state of New York require that all drivers carry at least $25,000 worth of bodily injury liability coverage, up to a total of $50,000 per incident. That same state law also requires that drivers have property damage liability coverage with a minimum level of $10,000. This kind of coverage is known as 25/50/10.
New York Insurance Coverage:
Bodily injury liability: $25,000/$50,000 minimum
Property Damage Liability: $10,000 minimum
Even though only the minimum coverage is required by law, it might not be enough to truly protect you. We urge you to look at other coverage packages as well, including coverage for uninsured and underinsured drivers. Not everyone will have the coverage they need in place, and this coverage protects you if you are in a crash with an irresponsible driver who failed to get the proper coverage.
With a quote from Cheapautoinsuranceco.com New York drivers can get the coverage they need at a price they can afford. Whether those drivers need to get the state mandated minimum coverage or something a little more, they can be sure that they will get the coverage they need, all at a very affordable price.
